The past year has presented new challenges for educators to face. Teachers need to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their students, while continuing to help them thrive in their studies. The CARES Act 2.0, recently passed by the U.S. government, seeks to help educators confront these challenges. The Education Stabilization Fund offered in the CARES Act 2.0 surpasses the amount previously offered by over $50 billion and will be primarily used to aide K-12 and higher education.
In addition, any funding that was not collected in the initial CARES 1.0 Act was reallocated to the state for future use. This means that educators have a great opportunity to equip their classrooms with everything needed to thrive in the current learning environment.
